- 1Pick a sessionPro rounds, Amateur, Sparring or Bag work, or a blank counter.
- 2Set round plus restIn the counter settings choose Timer, add 1 every 4 minutes for 3 on and 1 off, and set the rounds.
- 3Fight to the restWork from the sound until the countdown shows 1:00. Rest until the next round starts.
- 4Bell at the last roundPick Bell as the target sound, so the final round ends like a fight.
Pro and amateur rounds
Pro boxing uses 3 minute rounds with 1 minute rest. Amateur bouts often use 3 rounds of 3 minutes, and many gyms train in 2 minute rounds. Set the interval to round plus rest, and the target to the number of rounds.
Muay thai, MMA and circuits
Muay thai rounds are often 3 minutes, MMA rounds 5. For a circuit of pads, bag and skipping, keep one counter per station and run them in turn. The count always shows the round you are on.
Boxing timer or a gym bell timer?
A gym bell hangs on the wall. Tapsle goes with you to the park, the garage or the hotel room.
