How to use Tapsle as a meditation timer
- 1Pick a sitMorning sit, Breathing, Body scan or Walking, or a blank counter.
- 2Set the interval bellIn the counter settings choose Timer and set how often, for example add 1 every 5 minutes.
- 3Close your eyesPut the phone down. Tapsle sounds softly at each interval and adds one.
- 4End with a different soundSet a target, like 4 intervals for 20 minutes, and choose Chime or Bell for the end.
Interval bells without looking
A single bell at the end can feel abrupt, and checking the time breaks the sit. A soft sound every 5 minutes tells you where you are without opening your eyes, and the count shows how many intervals have passed.
A daily practice, counted
Keep one counter for the sit and a habit counter for the days you sat. Plus keeps 60 days of history, so you can see how often you practised this month without keeping a journal.
Meditation timer or a phone alarm?
An alarm goes off once, loudly. A meditation timer marks the time softly and ends differently.
