What is a days counter?

A days counter keeps track of how many days you have done something: days without sugar, days of practice, days until a trip. In Tapsle you tap once a day, or let a date counter count the days for you, and the ring fills toward your goal.

  • One tap for each day
  • A goal such as 30, 90 or 365 days
  • The start date shown in settings
  • A note for what the day counts
Your days, in Tapsle

Always know when day one was.

Every counter keeps the date it was created, so a streak never loses its starting point. Set a goal and the ring shows how far you have come.

Streaks that keep their start date

Open a counter’s settings to see the date it was created. Write the rule in the note, such as “no sugar after dinner”, so the count means the same thing on day 90 as on day one.

Counting down instead of up

Counting the days until something? Choose Date in the counter’s settings, pick Until date and enter the day. Tapsle shows the days left and counts down by itself each morning. Since date works the other way, counting the days since something happened.

Days counter questions

Does Tapsle add a day automatically?

It can. A normal counter goes up when you tap, which keeps a streak honest. A date counter counts by itself: choose Date in the settings, pick Since date or Until date, and Tapsle shows the days passed or the days left.

Can I count down to a date?

Yes. Choose Date in the counter’s settings, pick Until date and enter the day. The counter shows the days left and goes down on its own. You can show it in days, weeks or months.

What if I miss a day?

Your count stays where it is. Tap when you pick it up again, or use Set value to change the number.

Is Tapsle free?

Yes. Unlimited counters, targets, steps, notes, lock, focus mode, pop out and export are free, with no account. Free includes up to 5 groups and 1 counter on a timer. Tapsle Plus adds sync, backups, longer history, shared counters and integrations, for $2.99 a month or $25.99 a year.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once Tapsle has loaded, counting keeps working with no connection, and you can install it on your phone or computer like an app. Your counts are saved on your device as you go.

Can I export my counters?

Yes, free. Export saves every counter to one file, and Import brings them back on any device. Your counts belong to you.

Can I keep the counter on screen while I work?

Yes, on Chrome and Edge on a computer. Choose Pop out and the counter floats above your other windows, with +1 and −1 inside it, so you can count while you read, watch or type. Phones and Safari do not support this, so the button only appears where it works.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your counters stay on your device. There is no account, and nothing is sent to us unless you turn on sync with Tapsle Plus.

What is the difference between Free and Plus?

Free is the counter: unlimited counters, up to 5 groups, 1 timer counter, targets, offline use, export and 7 days of history. Plus is memory: sync across up to 5 devices, nightly backups, 60 days of history with charts, shared counter links, unlimited groups and timers, and integrations. Cancelling Plus never removes a counter.
